Canadian RV Owners Alliance
Help & FAQ
Questions about joining, payment and renewal? Start here or contact the membership team.
Who can join?
RV owners and enthusiasts are welcome, including visitors interested in Canadian RV travel. You do not need to own an RV.
What is the difference between my Facebook group membership and a CRVOA membership?
Our Facebook group and CRVOA membership are separate. Participating in the group requires a Facebook account and group membership. Facebook group membership does not register you as a CRVOA member.
To become a CRVOA member, apply through the Membership section of our website. Membership is currently free for all Canadian residents. Once approved, you will receive a notice and a CRVOA membership number granting you access to partner discounts, submission of travel stories for publication on our website, and additional benefits as they’re introduced.
Which membership applies to me?
Your household’s primary residence determines the type, not citizenship or current travel location. Canada: Standard, currently free. Outside Canada: International, US$25 annually. Both last one year and cover family living at the same primary residence.
What about snowbirds and full-time RVers?
Your primary residence must remain in Canada to qualify for Standard Membership. Contact the team if your residence is unclear or changes.
What happens after I apply?
A volunteer aims to respond within three business days, reviews your application and may ask for more information. Standard Membership starts on approval. Approved International applicants receive payment instructions and become active after successful payment is confirmed. Your welcome email gives your member number and dates. An application reference is not proof of membership.
When and how do International members pay?
Wait for approval and emailed payment instructions. The annual fee is US$25. No payment is collected on this website and no automatic annual charge is set up. Instructions explain the payment route and conditions before you pay. Do not send card or banking details by email or through Contact.
How do I renew?
The team aims to send reminders 30 and seven days before expiry. Confirm your residence and contact details, then renew manually. Standard is currently free; International is US$25. Keep your number. Early renewal extends your expiry; late renewal starts a new term.
What happens to existing members?
The team will communicate a first annual renewal date and confirm records. Existing dates will not be invented or silently changed. Tell us if your primary residence changes.
Can a business apply?
Business owners may apply for their household’s personal participation. Membership does not allow unsolicited advertising, commercial solicitation or collecting member information. Commercial proposals use Become a Partner.
Can International members use every discount?
Check the partner’s conditions, service area and eligibility before purchasing. Offers may vary and International eligibility is not guaranteed. A public discount code does not establish active membership.
What if I have a payment problem or need a refund?
Contact the membership team with your application/member reference and a brief description. Do not include financial credentials. Failed or unmatched payments do not activate membership; duplicate, refund and dispute requests need review. Ask about refund conditions before paying.
Do I need email or Facebook?
A usable email is needed for this online application and essential membership correspondence. If you cannot use email, ask a trusted person to help contact the team about an assisted application. Formal electronic notices are a separate preference. Public website information does not require Facebook; discussions in the Facebook group do.
